Artist bio
Artist statement
My work is a raw reflection of chaos, beauty, and resilience—shaped by the streets of Kensington, Philadelphia, and the life I’ve lived within them. Whether I’m layering dense linework in my abstract paintings or piecing together shattered glass sculptures, my art is about finding meaning in the mess.In my current abstract series, I dive into the fragmented nature of memory and emotion. Layers of texture and color collide to tell stories of mental health struggles, survival, and the haunting echoes of the past. These pieces are unapologetically real, inviting viewers to step closer and uncover hidden details—like texts from a stalker ex or echoes of moments I’ve fought to overcome. My sculpture work explores the danger of beauty, using broken glass to craft "cutterflies"—delicate, sharp, and full of contradictions. They’re a reminder that beauty often comes with edges that cut.Through all my work, I aim to capture the essence of a city and a life that refuse to be polished or tamed. I want my art to spark connection, start conversations, and challenge the way we see chaos—not as something to fear, but as something to confront, understand, and even embrace.
